The Grace Hotel is an elegantly restored 11-storey heritage listed art deco Hotel built in 1930. It was originally built as headquarters for the Australian department store impresarios, the Grace Brothers, and has been classified by the Australian National Trust. Restoration has been meticulous, with many original features retained such as light fittings, lifts, stairwells, pressed-metal ceilings, marble floors, wide hallways and elegant decorative ironwork. The Grace Hotel has not only kept the style of those bygone years through the exterior of the Hotel but also the interior, which features a large and spacious lobby.
Situated in the heart of Sydney's CBD, The Grace Hotel fronts three of Sydney's most prominent streets - York, King & Clarence. Guests will enjoy our Location Sensation only minutes walk from all the attractions of Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay and King St. Wharf. Also within walking distance, you'll find the best shopping at the Queen Victoria Building (QVB), David Jones city stores, Pitt St. Mall plus Grace Brothers in the Sydney Central Plaza. And nearby, guests will be delighted to find The Rocks, Circular Quay, Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
We have 382 spacious guest rooms all designed with the frequent traveller in mind with the latest in modern telecommunications such as voice mail and data points for every room. The Interactive television features in-room movies in every room and also allows guests to set wake-up calls, order room service, view their account at any time during their stay and use Express Checkout. Individual comfort is also enhanced with feather comforters and pillows. Each room is conveniently equipped with an iron and ironing board, climate control, in-room safe and refreshment centre. The entrance to the car park is from Clarence Street at the rear of the Hotel. Should the car park be full the Hotel will redirect to the next closest Secure Car Park that accepts the Hotel vouchers. Car spaces cannot be reserved.
