Jimei University area Famous for the beautiful Jimei University grounds with its Dragon Boat Lake. Aoyuan Garden, a famous park built from the ruins of Autou Palace which was destroyed during the war is also in the same vicinity. The area of Auyuan covers a total of 8990 square meters and is built by famous philanthropist Mr Tan Kah-Kee whose tomb is also erected in the garden.
Haichang Bridge Magnificient modern architecture completed in October 1999 that links the main island to Haicang Industrial area of Xiamen. It boasts the original manuscript by president Jiang Zhemin inscribed on the high ends of the bridge. | |
